Organizing for America Kicks Off Local Get-Out-the-Vote Effort on June 5

Organizing for America (OFA) has announced its plans to engage voters early in the year as the best way to ensure their participation. On Saturday, June 5, the Vote 2010 Kick-Off Event begins at noon at the Freeman Memorial Library at 16616 Diana Lane.

The OFA goal is to get as many of the 15 million folks who voted for the first time in 2008 back to the polls. Across the country, OFA volunteers will knock on doors and make calls in their communities, reconnecting with first-time 2008 voters and asking them to commit to vote again this November.
